Most business Reels fail in the first two seconds. The person filming starts with a greeting, a logo or a long introduction, and the viewer scrolls away. A short written script fixes this. It forces you to decide what the video is about, what to say first and what you want the viewer to do at the end.
The four-part template
- Hook (0 to 3 seconds): a question, a surprising fact or a bold promise that makes people stop.
- Problem (3 to 8 seconds): name the situation your viewer recognises.
- Value (8 to 25 seconds): give the answer, steps or demonstration. One idea only.
- Call to action (last 3 seconds): follow, save, send or message us a specific word.
A worked example
Imagine a dental clinic. Hook: Do you brush your teeth the wrong way? Problem: Many people press too hard and damage the gums. Value: Hold the brush at a slight angle, use small circles and spend two minutes. Call to action: Save this video and send it to someone who rushes.
Tips for natural delivery
- Write the way you speak, with short sentences and simple words.
- Read it aloud once. If you stumble, rewrite that line.
- Plan a new visual every two to three seconds to keep attention.
- Add subtitles in Armenian and check them against the script.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to memorise the script?
No. Memorise the hook and the final line, and speak the middle in your own words.
How many words fit in a 30 second Reel?
Roughly seventy to ninety words at a natural pace. Fewer is better when the visuals carry the story.
Can I use the same script for several Reels?
Reuse the structure, not the words. Each Reel should answer a different question.
